JoLeen's Birthday Party

JoLeen's party started as our parties often do, with lots of good food, fun and enjoying
friendships which always leads to some singing and Karaoke of course.
Unknown to Jo I had the XKE delivered in front of our home about 8 PM
by Bill Richert (the restorer).
While the party crowd moved out front I blindfolded.
NOTE: the flash didn't go off when it was supposed too on some of these so
I had to do work to salvage these priceless and timely memories. Sorry they
weren't better.
When she took off the blindfold, all she could say was, "Holy Shit"!
JoLeen was so speechless she was almost dumbfounded. I believe the expressions
on her face in the photos pretty well says it all.
I presented her with the keys to her new XKE along with a book that tells all
about her car with a personal inscription from me to her.
The BIG Red Bow was a hit to say the least.
As you can see the bumpers haven't been reinstalled yet. They are still at the
chrome shop getting replated.
Notice that her license plate reads: JOLEEN
It'll look considerably better once the new bumpers are installed.
Unfortunately it wasn't quit finished yet due to some unavoidable delays with the new
chrome and some new engine components but it was very close to being done.
She just can't drive it yet.
I'm sure you'll be seeing her driving around in it soon and if your good she might
even take you for a spin. Ha!
